Have a Super Sunday!

Collaboration Celebration Retreat!

You have waited patiently for months for information regarding Bonnie Hunter’s and my joint retreat.  Thank you for your patience.

Just late last week a location had been found and secured (a previous location fell thru due to renovations) by Sew Sisters, LLC who is hosting this event.  All sign up and retreat info will be forthcoming from Sew Sisters form here forward.  Bonnie and I are not involved in that process.

I can tell you the retreat dates are August 8-11, 2013 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The retreat will feature a “welcome” event on Thursday night, two full days of classes (Friday & Saturday – you will have one full day with each Bonnie and myself separately for instruction) and a “wrap it up” joint session with Bonnie & I on Sunday (half day).

Now bear with me the following is a picture of the project and I am the first one to say my photography skills are not the best.  There will be much better pics of the project (even another colorway) to follow on this blog, and most likely Bonnie’s and Sew Sisters.

My intention is just to finally give all of you some information and direct you to Karen & Lisa of Sew Sisters for signup for a waitlist/email list.  You can reach them at info@sewsisters.biz

Here is the project.

I have not gotten to quilting it yet.  That will happen next weekend.

The quilt is 43.5” square which makes a lovely wall hanging.  Of course you can make four (three more at home) and make a good size quilt (approximately 86” square).

The quilt features Bonnie’s scrappy pattern for the background and a new (yet to be released) Pieced Hexie Pattern titled Boomer for the four rosettes shown on the black backgrounds.

Bonnie & I feel that this size project can be completed in the retreat time of 2.5 days so hopefully no UFOs unless you plan to take it to the full quilt size mentioned above.

So if you are interested please contact Karen & Lisa directly at info@sewsisters.biz.

You can also like their facebook page and bookmark their website.

Now back to the regularly scheduled football game for today!
